Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, Visits the Yunus Emre Institute in Abuja

Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, visited the Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

Oluremi Tinubu was welcomed by Hidayet Bayraktar, Turkish Ambassador to Abuja, Füsun Bayraktar, the Ambassador’s wife, and Musa Erbaş, Coordinator of the Yunus Emre Institute in Abuja.

Oluremi Tinubu inaugurated the painting exhibition titled “Reflection: Stories of a Nigerian Woman,” organized by the Yunus Emre Institute in Abuja. The exhibition showcased the works of the President of the Association of Women Artists of Nigeria and 11 other women artists.

Oluremi Tinubu met with Nigerian children learning Turkish at the Yunus Emre Institute in Abuja and chatted with the children and offered them advice.

Oluremi Tinubu visited the Turkish classes at the Institute, where she received information about the courses and chatted with the Nigerian students learning Turkish.

During the visit, Musa Erbaş, Coordinator of YEI in Abuja, provided information about the Institute’s Turkish language teaching programs and cultural interaction activities in Nigeria.

Tinubu praised the efforts of Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, wife of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, saying, “We would like to thank Emine Erdoğan for her work for Africa. She has a deep affection not only for Nigeria but for all of Africa.”

Tinubu noted that the Yunus Emre Institute not only promotes Turkish culture in Nigeria but also organizes activities that highlight Nigeria and support Nigerian youth.

Oluremi Tinubu discussed Turkish and Nigerian cultures with Hidayet Bayraktar, the Turkish Ambassador to Abuja, his wife Füsun Bayraktar, and Musa Erbaş, the Coordinator of YEI in Abuja.

Oluremi Tinubu expressed her gratitude to Türkiye for its support to Nigeria.
