Yunus Emre Institute President Prof. Abdurrahman Aliy extended his congratulations for July 24 Journalists and Press Day with a written statement. 

In his statement for July 24 Journalists and Press Day, Prof. Abdurrahman Aliy, President of the Institute, highlighted the Institute’s projects in communication and media, which are crucial components of public diplomacy. 

Ongoing Projects in Communication and Media

Prof.  Abdurrahman Aliy, President of the Institute, stated, “At the Institute, we carry out projects in communication and media, alongside cultural interaction, as part of our global public and cultural diplomacy efforts.   It is of great importance that Türkiye’s international achievements, and its deep-rooted and rich cultural values are conveyed by accurate and reliable sources.”

Strengthening Media Cooperation Between Türkiye and Other Nations

President Prof. Aliy further commented, “In this context, we have initiated the ‘Media Meetings’ series, focusing on strategic communication. These meetings bring together prominent media representatives from Türkiye and abroad to enhance the international visibility and impact of issues related to Türkiye and Turkish culture.   Through this series, we significantly contribute to the advancement of media cooperation between Türkiye and other countries, as well as to the strengthening of international relations within the media sector.”

President Prof. Aliy added, “I sincerely congratulate the 24 July Journalists’ and Press Day of our valuable media professionals, who work 24/7 at home and abroad with great devotion, fight against disinformation, and  showcase the strength and greatness of Türkiye to the world.” 

Global Expansion of Media Communication Networks

As part of the “Media Meetings” series, the Yunus Emre Institute brought together prominent media figures through events held in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Romania, Mexico, Venezuela, and Egypt. At the “Media Meetings” events, discussions focused on advancements that could elevate media relations between Türkiye and other countries, as well as potential collaborations in the field of media.
