President's Message
Greetings to the Seven Continents!
As a growing global brand of a strengthening Türkiye, we have reached 90 offices abroad in 66 countries to date, starting from our first overseas office established in 2009. Our mission is to increase Türkiye’s international recognition, reliability, and prestige, and our vision is to connect with people around the world who build bonds with Türkiye and increase the number of friends of Türkiye.
While telling Türkiye’s story across the seven continents, establishing a ground that will enhance dialogue between the Turkish nation and other nations has always been among our priorities. Accordingly, with the understanding that “horizons are not far,” we have established and continue to establish lasting bonds through our offices in different geographies to reach the far corners of the world.
Aware that culture plays an important role in establishing trust and enhancing dialogue between different societies, as the Yunus Emre Institute, we continue our multifaceted and multidimensional activities to promote our culture and art worldwide.
We continue our efforts to spread our ancient language, Turkish, around the world and to strengthen its position among world languages with great momentum. By enhancing intercultural awareness and sharing on the basis of the language-culture relationship, we support academic and scientific studies and contribute to Turkology departments.
With the motto “From Türkiye woven with iron railways to Türkiye weaving the world with cultural networks in its 100th year,” we have introduced Türkiye, Anatolia’s rich cultural heritage, Turkish language, culture, and art to the world through our activities carried out in the 100th year of the Republic. In the future, we will continue our efforts with the principle of “Let’s get to know each other,” as Yunus beautifully expressed his worldview, to foster friendship and cultural exchange between Türkiye and other countries.
With my most sincere love and respect,
Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman ALİY
President of the Institute
